Volunteers are the heart of our not-for-profit organization—they’re the driving force behind our club’s success!
Each season, our Board of Directors, Committee Members, Program Assistants, and dedicated parent volunteers generously contribute their time and talents to support all aspects of club operations. From governance and administration to event planning, fundraising, marketing, and day-to-day programming, every contribution—large or small—has a meaningful impact.
We’re currently seeking volunteers for the following roles and tasks:
ON-ICE PROGRAM ASSISTANTS
The Cayuga Skating Club is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and committed individuals with a helping nature who enjoy being on the ice and sharing the joy of skating!
Program Assistants work closely with our coaches - leading groups and activities, demonstrating skating skills, and communicating skater needs.
High school students can earn up to 40 community hours.
Volunteers must have previous hockey, ringette, power/speed skating or figure skating experience.
All volunteers 18 or older must have a valid vulnerable sector background check through their local OPP/police station.
Volunteers are needed Tuesday evenings from 4:45pm to 6:45pm between September 29 2026 to March 30, 2027.
On-ice program assistants are required to attend two mandatory training sessions on
Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00 PM
Thursday, December 17, 2026 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM
