Volunteers are an integral part of our not-for-profit organization. These are the people that make our club a success!
ON-ICE PROGRAM ASSISTANT POSITION(S)
The Cayuga Skating Club is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and committed individuals with a helping nature who enjoy sharing the joy of skating.
Program Assistants work closely on-ice with CSC Professional Coaches leading groups and activities, demonstrating skating skills, and communicating skater needs.
High school students can earn up to 40 volunteer hours required for graduation.
Volunteers must have previous hockey, ringette, power/speed skating or figure skating experience.
All volunteers 18 or older must have a valid vulnerable sector background check through their local OPP/police station.
Skating sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from October 8, 2023 to March 25, 2024. Volunteers are needed between 4:45pm-6:45pm. There is no skating on: December 24, December 31, and March 11.
Mandatory training will occur on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
OFF-ICE VOLUNTEER POSITION(S)
The Cayuga Skating Club is looking for a reliable and committed individual to assist with the Club's weekly off-ice program operations. No experience is necessary.
High school students can earn up to 40 volunteer hours required for graduation.
Skating sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from October 8, 2023 to March 25, 2024. Volunteers are needed between 4:30pm-7:30pm. There is no skating on: December 24, December 31, and March 11.
We are currently in need of a volunteer to complete the following duties on a weekly basis:

- To sit in the music room to play the pre-recorded session music
- To set up and take down the Greeter's Table
- To greet skaters and their families as they arrive
- To be available to field questions from parents/guardians while skaters are on the ice

However, if you have skills, or are looking to develop skills in the following areas, please consider expressing your interest:
Technology (e.g. music, website design, etc.)
Communications (e.g. website content, newsletters, social media, etc.)
Marketing/Promotions (e.g. advertising, networking, photography, etc.)
Non-profit organizations (e.g. ONCA, board meetings, etc.)
Finance (e.g. bookkeeping, accounting, etc.)
Registrations/Membership (e.g. creating forms, public relations, etc.)
Or anything else!
