HISTORY OF THE CAYUGA SKATING CLUB

The Cayuga Skating Club was established in 1970.  Bringing Skate Canada's CanSkate program to Cayuga and the surrounding area.  We started out in the arena that was located on the corner of Talbot & Thorburn.  This small club has continued to strive and teach skaters of all ages skating. In 2011, we moved to our brand new arena located up the street on the corner of Chippewa and Thorburn. Our skating season starts in October and runs through until March.  

We are a small club with a big heart. We love seeing those who start with us with little or no skating experience grow and gain confidence out on the ice. The difference in the skaters from their very first session to the last is incredible to see.  Many start off slow and then just seem to master a skill and then their off and ready to learn new skills.
